The Brandi Chastain Game

In the iconic scene of Brandi Chastain celebrating after winning the 1999 Women’s World Cup, she’s not even wearing her jersey. After scoring the decisive penalty kick against China in the final, she ripped off her #6 jersey, swung it around, and fell to her knees as her teammates rushed to her to celebrate.
